Vienna University of Economics and Business
WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) was founded in 1898 as the Imperial Export Academy. Now over a hundred years later and with more than 26,000 students from Austria and abroad, WU is the EU's largest educational institution for business and economics, business law, and social sciences.
In 2007 WU received the renowned EQUIS accreditation, becoming Austria´s first and only university within the limited circle of Europe´s top business universities with highest standards. WU's program portfolio on the master level encompasses a set of 11 programs, six of them are taught entirely in English, and will be fully implemented by winter semester 2010.
In 2013 the university will relocate to the new "Campus WU" close to the Wiener Prater. In the next years five building complexes, designed by international architects, will be built around the "Library & Learning Center" and will provide ideal conditions for teaching, learning and research.
