Medical University of Vienna
The Medical University of Vienna (or MedUni Vienna for short) ranks as one of the medical training and research establishments with the greatest traditions in Europe. With almost 7,500 students it is the biggest medical training establishment in the German-speaking area today.
With its 30 university hospitals, 12 centres for medical theory and 30 highly-specialised laboratories it is also among the most important top research institutions in Europe in the field of biomedicine.
For clinical research there is a research area of more than 40,000 m² available, and with the opening of the new lab building "ANNA SPIEGEL RESEARCH BUILDING" in June 2010 there will be an addition of almost 8,000 m² on the Medical University campus.
