While doing her masters in Socio-Economics, Sandra Turecek specialised in empirical social research as well as economic geography and innovation economics. Her fields of interests include Gender and Climate Change related topics, as well as Creative Industries. She participates in the Talent and Knowledge Development Program "Innovation Economics Vienna" to write her masters thesis in cooperation between the Austrian Institute of Technology and the Vienna University of Economics and Business. To enhance her intercultural competencies, to improve her language skills and to broaden her horizon, she took part in various exchange and internship programmes in Frankfurt, Paris, San José, Caracas and New York. Furthermore she actively engages in youth conferences throughout Europe.
