Georg Steinhauser was born in Vienna, Austria, in 1979. He received his diploma in chemistry from the University of Vienna in 2003 and his PhD in radiochemistry from the Vienna University of Technology in 2005. In 2007, he received an Erwin-Schrödinger-Fellowship to work at the LMU Munich in the field of energetic materials. His research interests are very broad including radiation physics, radioanalytical methods and energetic materials sciences. He is currently employed at the Vienna University of Technology as the Reactor Operation Deputy Commander of the Atominstitut's 250 kW TRIGA Mark II research reactor.
