Alice Schmidt studied agricultural science on the University of Göttingen with emphasis in animal science. After that she started her doctoral thesis in natural science at the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna. For her practical research she practices for two years at the Graf Lehndorff Institut for Equine Science, which takes place at the Brandenburg State Stud in the North of Germany with nearly 350 horses for her stress research in horses. She took place at four international meetings in Equine Science with an oral presentation and won the prize of animal protection of Vienna in 2009.
