So far, Brigitte Rafaels life was oriented in an eastward direction. Born in Salzburg, she grew up there and attended a grammar school focused on languages. After school she moved to Linz where she spent five years of studying Computer Science (making a huge leap to the South-East for her exchange semester in Australia).
For the last three years she is performing her PhD studies and works at a research position in Vienna. Her research focus is on the analysis of music and the dynamic creation of interactive music. She likes the interdisciplinary combination of a technical and a creative component. In her free time she loves mountaineering, travelling, being outdoors, cultural events, dancing, geocaching, climbing and other sports.
