Marija Geroldinger-Simic was born in 1980 in Serbia. She studied medicine in Belgrade and Vienna and obtained her medical degree in 2007. Marija is currently involved in PhD studies at the Medical University of Vienna under supervision of Prof. Barbara Bohle. Her doctoral thesis focuses on the mechanisms which regulate allergic diseases. She explores food allergies in pollen allergic patients and concentrates especially on T cell immune responses. Furthermore, Marija is current president of the Young Scientist Association of the Medical University of Vienna and is very interested in scientific networking and working in an international scientific environment.
