Eva Fuchs grew up on a winery in Lower Austria. In 2004 she joined the bachelor programme "Food and Biotechnology" at the University of Applied Life Sciences Vienna which she completed in 2008. Consequently, she proceeded with the master programme Biotechnology in Vienna during which she spent 6 months as an exchange student at Lund University (Sweden). Currently, she is working on her master's thesis in the Aging and Immortalization Research group at the Department of Biotechnology. Here she is focusing on the molecular characterization of a novel protein that is involved in protein synthesis and livespan extension in several model organisms.
