about Vienna Science Shuttle

Vienna Science Shuttle. At the beginning of July, the Vienna Science Shuttle brings 53 young researchers from Vienna, Graz, Innsbruck and Leoben to the Euroscience Open Forum (ESOF) 2010 in Torino. ESOF is a pan-European science meeting across all fields that unites researchers for one week and additionally seeks intensive communication with the general public.

Delegates. The Vienna Science Shuttle delegates have been nominated by the supporting institutions that generously fund this project. Our delegates are young researchers in a variety of disciplines, spanning from applied arts and natural sciences via economic and social sciences to technical and life sciences. They work at universities, research centers or R&D companies and have have their origins in Argentina, Austria, Cameroon, Finland, Germany, Japan, Poland, Serbia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Switzerland, and Turkey.

Organizers. The Vienna Science Shuttle is jointly organized by ERC president Helga Nowotny, the Europaforum Vienna, and the Vienna Science and Technology Fund (WWTF).
